Pergolas of Distinction provides a non structural warranty for 12 months only, for items which include:
- Water Leaks
- PVC Down Piping
Pergolas of Distinction uses premium silicone brands Selly’s, Bostick and Sika for all Roof and Gutter Silicone joints to ensure a firm water proof seal. The non structural warranty on the seal joints is for 12 months period only.
Pergolas of Distinction recommends a minimum of a 6 monthly cleaning and maintenance of the gutters is undertaken to ensure that the gutters are free of debris, allowing the water to flow easily to a tank or storm water drainage system.
Whilst the Roof and Gutter Silicone, has excellent general purpose sealant including:
- UV and weather resistant – Immune to the damaging effects of the sun.
- Superior adhesion to a broad range of surfaces, resulting in a lasting finish.
- Has superior flexibility +/- 25% movement capability & up to 400% elongation or stretch.
- Temperature resistance – approximately -60°C +150°C
It is the responsibility of the owners to check and maintain the sealing points following the initial 12 month period of installation. Pergolas of Distinction does not guarantee the joint sealing past the initial 12 month period, however offers a service for a small cost to check and maintain the sealing surfaces and joints.
It is the owner’s responsibility to maintain the gutters free of debris and object obstructions, such as balls, branches, leaves, seeds, vegetable matter, and build up of soil.
The owner must determine the frequency of the gutter cleaning as determined by the location and adjacent trees.
Pergolas of Distinction recommends that all gutters are checked every 3 months and cleaned as required. This is particularly important with the commencement of autumn and winter periods.
In the event that gutters are not maintained by the owner, with evidence of soil build up and corrosion the structural warranty on the gutters is voided immediately.
Pergolas of Distinction ensures that all PVC piping and joints are covered for 12 months. The warranty includes the joint seals on the PVC piping which are part of the contracted construction.
This does not cover the attachment into the stormwater system as this is the owner’s responsibility as per the contract conditions.
The PVC piping is not covered for accidental damage.
The owner has the responsibility to maintain all drainage and storm water clear of debris and clear of obstructions so that all discharge is free flowing.
